Army dismisses two soldiers who robbed Dangote refinery
The Nigerian Army, on Monday, said it has kick out two soldiers, their names are; Corporal Innocent Joseph, and Lance Corporal Jacob Gani, accused of stealing armoured cables at the Dangote refinery on April 14, 2024.
According to The Most popular Nigeria news website The punch had reported how the soldiers entered the facility in an Acura jeep but were caught at the company’s main gate with 897 armored cables that had been cut to size.
Affirming their dismissal in a news on Monday, the speaker for the Nigerian Army, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, noted that the two soldiers were found guilty by abandonment of their duty post and “to be in unlicensed possession of the 897 armored cables materials,” and had since been handed over to authorities for further prosecution.
