UNIVERSITY WORKERS TO START NATION WIDE ON MONDAY

The non-academic workers of Nigerian universities, under the authority of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities, have set to embark on a 1 week warning strike 😩 nationwide from August 19 to 23.

The unions said these in Abuja on Friday that the strike was involved by the turn down of the Federal Government to attend to their request after the end of a 14-day request given to the authorities.

The request of the unions are the payment of their earned allocations, the university staff schools’ situation, and the discussion of the 2019 Federal Government of Nigeria’s accord with the unions. The unions instructed all members and institutions to abide with the warning strike from Monday or face penalties.
